Siena, Italy

I reread Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities while in Italy. Words that had previously seemed mythical to me made perfect sense in the author's hometown. Perhaps reality is still mythic in this view from the sky

St Catherine of Siena's church at twilight

The vaulted ceiling on the cathedral is covered with a deep blue starry sky. In my humble opinion, Siena's cathedral schools Florence in its contemplation of the heavens.

As long as I've known your photography, the exquisite compositions and colors have been there. It's refreshing to see that your vision is still clear regardless of the subject matter.
